Crypto casino BetHog Casino has secured $10 million in Series A funding to push its proprietary AI live dealer technology beyond its own platform and into the hands of other operators worldwide. The round was co-led by sports and entertainment venture capital firm Will Ventures and multi-strategy digital asset investment firm RockawayX, with additional participation from PCV, 6MV, Bullpen Capital, and Advancit Capital. BetHog says the raise brings its total funding to $16 million.

The capital will fuel two priorities: expanding the AI dealer experience on BetHog's own crypto casino and accelerating the rollout of Sentient Studios, the company's new B2B product designed to let other gaming operators launch and scale AI-powered live casino tables without the overhead of a traditional studio setup.

What Sentient Studios Actually Offers Operators

Sentient Studios is positioned as a software-driven alternative to the conventional live dealer supply model. Instead of renting table time from a third-party studio, operators using Sentient Studios can spin up AI dealer tables on demand, customize dealer personas, create branded environments, and serve players across multiple languages without being locked into staffing schedules or fixed studio capacity.

The commercial model is designed to lower the barrier to entry. BetHog is offering Sentient Studios on a pure revenue-share basis with no setup fees, no monthly minimums, and no fixed-term contracts. For operators who are cautious about committing to a new format, that structure makes it easier to run a pilot alongside existing human-run tables without taking on significant upfront risk.

The pitch to operators is straightforward: more flexibility, faster scaling, and the ability to localize experiences in real time. Sunny Started It All

The foundation for this B2B push is BetHog's own AI blackjack dealer, Sunny, who made her debut in October 2025 and is now available in 12 languages. BetHog says Sunny has become one of the most played games on the platform - a claim backed by the company's internal data showing that its AI dealer format is 10 times more popular than its live dealer equivalent, with better player retention and satisfaction scores to match.

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Nigel Eccles put it plainly: "We've tested our basic AI dealer over the past six months and have discovered that it is 10X more popular than its live dealer equivalent. In addition, we've seen better retention and player satisfaction."

Eccles, who previously helped build FanDuel, has been deliberate about sequencing the company's growth. BetHog's crypto-first approach was never just a payment strategy - it was a product strategy. Sunny was born in that environment, which gave BetHog the real-world data it needed to make a credible case to other operators.

Still, the trajectory is clear. If AI dealers can demonstrably reduce churn, improve session quality, or increase cross-sell into slots and other casino products, the economics will start to pressure incumbents and their studio vendors to build or acquire similar capabilities. Providers operating at the scale of Evolution Gaming could integrate AI dealer personas as a new format category or as tooling layered inside existing studios. Operators with strong brand identities may prefer building proprietary AI hosts to maintain a consistent look and feel across jurisdictions.

The line between a live casino experience and a simulated one is already blurring. BetHog's $10 million raise is a bet that the blur accelerates - and that the operators who move early on AI dealer technology will have a meaningful advantage in the quarters ahead.
